Acquaint has announced the development of Acquabrella 2.0, aimed at providing targeted and cost-efficient insights into the physical condition of water pipelines. The system is designed to help minimize water loss and enable smarter maintenance.

The main innovation of Acquabrella 2.0 is its ability to pass butterfly valves, which are widely used in pipeline networks in the Netherlands, across Europe, and worldwide. Until now, these valves have posed a major barrier for inline inspection tools. Overcoming this challenge will open access to large parts of previously inaccessible water networks.
In addition, Acquabrella 2.0 will be suitable for higher pressure levels. While Dutch pipelines typically operate at relatively low pressures, international networks can experience much higher pressures. This upgrade will enable global application of the system.
The project is co-financed by the European Union with a grant of €154,426.27. The project plan received 84 points from Samenwerkingsverband Noord-Nederland (SNN), the organization responsible for reviewing applications and distributing funding. Acquaint highlights the professional guidance of the Ugoo team as a key factor in the success of the application.
