The Datalogger and Pipe Scanner used for offering pipeline inspection services

Apart from the failure mechanisms, there may be other reasons for wanting or not wanting to use a particular inspection technique. For that reason, you can explore our inspection tools in this article and find out what the real advantages of each technique are.
The attentive reader will notice that the Aquamap and Aquabrella are not included. If you are curious, keep an eye on Acquaint for the launch of these tools.

Inline pipeline inspection tool the Acquarius

The Acquarius is our inline inspection tool that assesses the internal condition of pressure and transport pipelines. With the help of the sensors on the Acquarius, you are able to record the condition of many kilometres of pipeline in only one run. You can take on the big jobs with the Acquarius as the tool is suitable for the inspection of pipelines from ≥ DN150.

Since the Acquarius works on the pigging principle, this is a non-destructive inspection method. Once the pig has passed the pipeline section you wish to inspect, you receive the obtained data within 24 hours in your dashboard. An inspection with the Acquarius provides high measurement density with an accuracy within one millimetre. In the end, you will receive maximum insight into your pipeline condition: our dashboard provides you with all insights and overviews you need.

To conclude, with the help of the Acquarius you can be sure of 100% condition determination. Inspecting with this technique guarantees the highest degree of certainty in the inspection world. Most interesting for clients is that a residual life for the pipeline is being determined. So you, as an asset manager, know exactly in what condition your pipeline network is. As a result, you can plan when certain sections of the pipeline need to be repaired or replaced.

External pipeline inspection tool the Pipe Scanner

The Pipe Scanner is compact and easy to use. In fact, it is a do-it-yourself (DIY) concept, which means you can manage your own condition assessments. In contrast to the Acquarius, the Pipe Scanner allows you to perform external condition assessments of pipelines with diameter ≥ DN50.

With the Pipe Scanner, which is an external inspection technique, you can perfectly perform spot measurements. With the data retrieved from a number of spot measurements, we can map the condition of your pipeline. It is therefore the ideal tool to get an overall picture of your entire pipeline network.

When to choose the Pipe Scanner? This inspection tool can be used to verify whether your replacement strategy is correct. Moreover, if a leak has occurred, you can check whether it is necessary to take further measures. Last but not least, it is an easy way to validate an inline inspection, for example with the Acquarius. All in all, by performing spot measurements with the Pipe Scanner you will have more certainty, and you will be less likely to encounter big (financial) surprises.
